The food changes daily at this small-plates mecca in the Lanes – but seasonal dishes throughout December may include Venison carpaccio, roscoff onion and smoked chestnut mayo, or Curried parsnip, pickled apple and coriander.

The original Cin Cin restaurant on Vine Street, tucked away in North Laine, has three courses and nibbles for £35 this December. Game cannelloni, creamed parsnip and cavolo nero sounds like a big Italian Christmas cuddle to us.

A three-course menu for £45 at one of the city’s most stylish seafront restaurants – now that’s how to celebrate the festive season. Seafood obviously reigns supreme here this December, with such lovely dishes as Coal-roasted market fish with mussels, fennel, clementine butter and smoked potatoes, but veggies and meat-lovers are well catered for too.

This stylish Hove gastropub is one of the cosiest, most festive spots in town and this Christmas they’ve a beautiful three-course menu for £35 on offer. Roast pheasant with all the trimmings, and a White chocolate and cranberry mousse sound right up our street.
